We have lots of opportunities to grow and connect, whatever your age. In addition to these regular meetings, check our Events page to see what else is going on at WIC.

  • Small Group Studies: Our community groups meet throughout the week across the D.C. metro area. These groups generally work through a book or study together. Contact the church office to get connected with a group leader that matches your schedule and location.

  • Theology 101 Class: Want to delve deeper into the beliefs of the Christian faith? Join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the Community Room.

  • College Students/Young Professionals: We have a large group of men and women in their 20s and 30s. Whether you’re a college student or establishing your career, you are welcome to join them every Sunday from 12 – 2pm for prayer and Bible study or for one of their weekend social events.

  • Women: We meet monthly on a Saturday morning to do a book-based study.

  • Prayer: People from our Care Ministry are available to pray with you after the service. We also meet monthly on a Saturday morning to pray for the church.

We have a vibrant group of about fifteen middle and high school students who are close-knit but very welcoming. It’s not uncommon to find our teens playing football or ping pong together after the Sunday service! Here’s an overview of the programs we offer for sixth through twelfth graders.

There are three core pieces to our youth ministry:

  1. Discussion-based Bible Study during the sermon portion of the Sunday service.

  2. Bible Quizzing: A fun way to study and memorize a book of the Bible. We have informal competitions two Sundays a month.

  3. Fun monthly activities: Past activities include Superhero Night, Snowtubing, Trivia Night, and Laser Tag.

Here are some other things our teens do:

  • Several times a year, we organize service projects within and outside the church.

  • We give our teens opportunities to help on Sunday mornings and with the church’s special events, including on the Worship Team.

  • Every April, we go to the Christian & Missionary Alliance’s district youth retreat at Rockbridge Alum Springs camp.

  • Every three years, our high school students have the chance to go to the C&MA’s nationwide week-long Life Conference.

During the sermon, children ages 3-10 participate in a fun Bible lesson adapted for kids. Throughout the year we have special programs, like our annual Easter egg hunt and children’s Christmas pageant. See our Events page for information about upcoming events.

For babies and toddlers, we provide a safe, securely supervised nursery during our Sunday service.
