I Am New

If this is your first visit to Washington International Church, we want to give you a very warm welcome.

In a world where nations are splintering along cultural and linguistic lines, Washington International Church is a model of unity and diversity. We aim to be a community where people from every nation, tribe, people and language can unite together in worship to our God. We are united by our love for Jesus Christ, who “is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:17)

In addition to English, most of us also speak one or more other languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Spanish, French, Tagalog, and Russian.  Most importantly, we speak the language of love. All of us know what it’s like to be “strangers in a strange land.” Maybe that’s why WIC is one of the friendliest and most caring churches around. Many of us are thousands of miles from family, so church members share together in the joys and sorrows of new births, marriage, illness, and, yes, even death. Whoever you are, or wherever you come from, we welcome you to our family.

We gather every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate and learn about the majesty of God through prayer, music, Scripture, and the reading of God’s Word.  Our services are informal, yet reverent to God. We sing a mixture of hymns and modern worship songs. Our pastors and visiting speakers present life applicable messages founded in Biblical truth.
