Dear WIC Church Family,

I hope you’ve all been having a wonderful week, and managed to keep cool as the summer weather made it’s grand entry!

Here are a few reminders of what is happening tomorrow, and in the near future, at WIC!

All are encouraged to support the all-church prayer meeting at 9:15 am in the Community Room.

Remember to bring some non-perishable food items for the Food Bank

As it’s the first Sunday of the month, we will celebrate Communion in the morning service, and then our Evening Outreach Service at Friendship Terrace will take place at 6:30 pm. The ‘service’ usually lasts around 25-30 minutes, and is a great opportunity to get to know some of the elderly residents, spend time with them, and show them the love of Christ. There is always some time after the service to chat informally.

Have you booked your place on next weekend’s Church Retreat? Tomorrow is the day to turn in the balance of your payment and receive your room assignments. Please remember to pick up your map and directions. If you have NOT booked yet, or paid a deposit, there MIGHT still be space, but a late registration fee will apply. Please see Jordan or Eileen in the morning.

If you have an interest in reaching the wider world for Christ, if you would like to know about mission trips or how you might become more actively involved … and if you like Pizza (even if you don’t), then you will want to attend “Missions and Pizza“ on Monday at 6:30 pm.

I look forward to worshiping with you tomorrow. Come, ready to lift high the Cross and exalt our King and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Easter Festival! – March 31, 2013

Easter Festival

On March 31, immediately following the service, we will be holding an Easter Festival on the grounds of WIC. This is a perfect opportunity to invite friends and family who ordinarily wouldn’t come to church and will feature music, drama, puppets, children’s egg roll, food and more. Please see the bulletin insert for more details and pray about who you can invite.

Good Friday Services – March 29, 2013

Good Friday Service with other local Alliance churches: on Friday, March 29 at 7:30 pm.

Silver Spring and Derwood Alliance Churches have invited WIC to join with them at Derwood, 16501 Redland Road, Rockville, MD 20855.

Discover WIC Class on June 2, 2012

DISCOVER WIC on June 2: A basic introduction to our church family, Discover WIC, will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 9:30 to 1:00 pm, upstairs in the Geneva Room. Lunch will be provided. Discover WIC is designed to explain who we are, what our church is about and how you can be actively involved. The class is required for membership in WIC; but, is also designed for the person who just wants to learn more about our faith community. Please contact Pastor Steve for details, or contact the church office.

People Without Borders Registration

People Without Borders will start having English classes again on March 14 to May 2, 2012. Registration is on Wednesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. on the second level of WIC , People Without Borders Office. To volunteer, please contact David Reyes.
