"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." —Philippians 4:6,7

Prayer is a vital work of the church. It trains us to depend on God instead of on ourselves. As such, it is a preparation for heaven, where all the attention will be on God, not on ourselves.

Our prayer goals for this year:

• To develop empowered leadership
• To encourage passionate Christian living
• To match those with the necessary gifts to the appropriate ministries
• To enthrone God with our worship in a truly inspirational way
• To facilitate the formation of a network of cell groups within the church that touch hearts, minds, hands, and spirits
• To reach out to our community in a caring way so that they see the love of God
• To encourage the growth of our care and concern among each person in the church for each other
